The Saddest Thing

The saddest thing in life is to see no possibilities. To think that you have run out of chances, that you have no where to go. The homeless sleeps somewhere; the hopeless has no place to rest. Condemned to run forever, to face a corner, a dead end. How do you tell someone, who sees nothing but bleakness, that there are possibilities? How do you tell someone, whose self-regard is so low that he rejects all attempts to reach out to him, that he is worth helping, simply for who he is? How do you talk to someone, whose esteem is so low, that he sees any difference in opinion or a criticism of his way of life, as a rejection of his person?

It is sad. All you can do is let him know he has a friend in you.

I just leave him alone.

But not before trying to talk to him and let him see there is positivity.

But when all else fail, u just have to tell yourself you have tried...some people just cannot be helped. I have seen a few of these, they make it sound like the whole world owe them something and as such their failures are not their makings

SL, Suzie Wong - I wish it were so simple.. but yes, agree that eventually they have to want to help themselves.
